For the potential clients or customer this directory provides a list of home-based businesses in British Columbia providing products and/or services, sorted by business category (see "listing"). A listing of time-limited discounted products and services and seasonal products is also provided, sorted by product (see "specials").

For the home-based business owner this directory provides a means of advertising their products and services to potential clients and customers on the internet. The entrepreneur need not own a computer or have internet access to make use of this directory. In addition, links can be provided to a business owner's existing web site and/or e-mail account plus, if requested, we can work with the owner to develop a simple web page of their own to be installed on our server and linked to their directory listing. Apart from the directory, links are provided to sites catering to the small business owner (see "resource"). For people considering starting their own home-based business, a forum is provided for existing registrants to tell others how they got started in their business and to outline some of the pitfalls and benefits they have found (see "stories"). Registration is available on-line and is free until the end of June, 1999 (see "registration").
